We welcomed 2020 with open arms. We were excited to continue providing the community with superior swimming lessons, giving children and families the skills necessary to survive and thrive in the water. We had new goals to achieve and looked forward to all that this year would bring for Texas Swim Academy, our swimmers and our families. But you know what they say about best-laid plans. This year turned out to be one that none of us saw coming. The good news is we made it. As we wrap up this unprecedented year, we want to take the time to say thank you for your unwavering support. 

Health and Safety Are Our Top Priority

We are always thankful for the families who trust us to care for their children as if they were our own. We opened this school in 2012 to create a place where children could experience quality swimming lessons from well-trained and certified instructors. While COVID changed our daily landscape quite significantly, we were all able to adapt to continue providing the life-saving skills our children desperately need, especially at a time when more and more families stay home and invest in pools. 

We greatly appreciate your willingness to work with the COVID guidelines presented by the state of Texas and CDC guidelines. There was a learning curve for both students and instructors, but we successfully found a way to keep our students and staff safe so we could continue to provide our services. There was no way we could have done this without your support. We are happy to say because of everyone’s willingness to abide by those new standards we’ve had zero cases of COVID originate at our facility to date.

Texas Swim Academy is a locally-owned and family-owned business. And like many of those throughout our nation, our livelihood was greatly at stake this year. But because of your continued support, we are still here. Supporting businesses like ours through challenging times is so critical to our community’s ability to thrive. Locally-owned and family-owned businesses offer a different kind of experience you can’t get from big chains. We established Texas Swim Academy in Katy because we cared about the local families and wanted to keep them safe whenever they were near water. 

Small businesses thrive because of local support. While we could have had to shutter our doors this year, you rallied around us and still trusted us to provide lifesaving swimming lessons. Even though our business may operate a bit differently and lessons may be conducted in an even more intimate setting, you never gave up on us. For that we are grateful.
