Swimming Is a Gift That Lasts a Lifetime – Swim Lessons
Pool Safety, Stoke Development, Survival Swim, Texas Swim Academy Programs
This holiday season, give the gift of swim lessons to your loved little ones! The benefits of swimming for kids are plentiful.
Drowning is the second-leading cause of death of infants and young children in the United States, with roughly 4,000 dying each year. It almost goes without saying that a child who knows how to swim is much more likely to stay safe around the water. While there should still be barriers of protections for your kids such as adult supervision and smart pool rules, the confidence that your child knows what to do when they’re in the water is the ultimate gift of peace of mind. Swim lessons are important for every child.
Swimming is excellent cardiovascular activity for both kids and adults. As our society shifts toward video games and hardly any P.E. time in school, finding ways for your kids to be active has proven more and more challenging. Swimming lessons provide an outlet for your kids to get active, while also learning crucial life-saving skills.
The earlier a child is introduced to water, the less likely they are to develop a fear of it. It would be a shame to have to skip out of neighborhood pool parties and backyard BBQs because of fear. Introduce your kids to water, get them well-acquainted with it, and watch the fun begin! We use lots of games while teaching our students so swim lessons are structured and important, yet enjoyed by all.At Texas Swim Academy, we are very passionate about teaching children life-saving swim skills. Our classes begin at survival swim and continue to competitive swim. To learn more about our swim lesson options, please visit our programs page.
