Texas Swim Academy, Boys and Girls Club of Houston and Poolsafely.gov are joining together with the nations top safety and training organizations to host the 2016 World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL). Established to promote the message, Swim Lessons Save Lives, the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson looks to increase awareness on the importance of teaching children to swim as a leading way to prevent drowning.

Swim lessons create a foundation for water safety in a pool, beach, lake or bath tub. In addition to being a life safety skill, swimming often turns into a lifelong recreational sport that is enjoyed by people of all ages.

This year’s World’s Largest Swimming Lesson will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016,  beginning promptly at 10:00 CST for a 30-minute lesson. Afterwards, students are welcome to stay for treats and refreshments, giveaways and an official WLSL certificate for participating!
