Every year, the nation’s top safety and training organizations join together to hold the World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL). This event was created to help build awareness about the importance of teaching a child to swim to prevent drowning. On June 20, 2014, water parks, pools, and aquatic facilities like Texas Swim Academy will be participating in this worldwide event beginning at 11:00 EST (10:00 CST) in an attempt to break a Guinness World Record. This event is one of the largest promotional events that helps emphasize how important it is that your child learn how to swim. Swimming is a life safety skill that helps prevent the nation’s second leading cause of unintentional death for children ages 1-14. It’s a foundation for staying safe in and around water, whether that’s a pool, beach, lake or bath tub.

Texas Swim Academy will begin the lesson promptly at 10:00 CST for a 30-minute lesson and afterward, students are welcome to stay for treats and refreshments. We’ll be handing out giveaways as well as an official WLSL certificate for participating!
