Learn More About the Stroke Development Program at Texas Swim Academy
Stoke Development
At Texas Swim Academy, students have the opportunity to not only learn basic water safety skills to feel confident and comfortable in the water; they also have the ability to build upon those basic skills. In the Texas Swim Academy Stroke Development class, students are able to build one skill upon another. Swimmers are taught the four basic swimming strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Each skill is taught repetitively to increase level of proficiency. As training advances, so does students’ self-esteem and confidence in the water.
There are six different levels of classes based on students’ age, maturity, physical strength, coordination, and skills. This allows each student to learn at his or her own pace without time limits. Through this stroke development program as well as other programs available at our facility, each and every child the resources they need to be successful and independent in the water.
