Texas Swim Academy offers group swimming lessons for children!

All stroke styles are taught in step-by-step processes through our 7 levels of groups. Age, maturity, physical strength, coordination, and skill are all important factors in creating a safe and successful class. The requirements for every level become essential building blocks and bridges to the next skill. We also believe that every child learns at a different pace. There are no time limits for completion for each level. It will be up to your swim instructor to decide which level your child will be in and when they can move to the next level.

Our group swimming lessons offer a fun, nurturing learning environment for new and developing swimmers and challenging, technically- rigorous lessons for advanced swimmers. Our low student to instructor ratio ensures that each swimmer gets the most out of every minute of class. Swimming is a lifelong activity. We strive to give each child the resources they need to be successful and independent in the water.

Any child age 4 and older that is comfortable going underwater, can swim 15 feet or more unassisted and take a breath or float by themselves is eligible for group lessons. Children who are not quite ready for a group lesson either based on skill level or comfort in new situations will need to begin in private lessons and then may progress to group lessons as their skills become proficient.

Requirement: The child must be able to swim and float comfortably and swim 15 feet independently with breath control. We will book you a 15- minute private lesson to assess the skill of newly enrolled students. Assessments are scheduled by appointment only and can be booked during our normal business hours.
